Scientists research asbestos-related genes

"Scientists concerned over the number of patients diagnosed each year with mesothelioma and other asbestos related diseases have completed a study of the effects of one particular type of asbestos—crocidolite—on human lung epithelial cells. Unlike previous research, this study employed a systems biology approach to document changes caused by crocidolite in the A549 transcriptome. " (2008-8-18)
