Asbestos removal begins at Iowa’s Polk County Courthouse

"Iowa’s Polk County Courthouse is beginning an asbestos removal project because, although asbestos-containing materials at the 102-year-old courthouse are believed to be in safe condition right now, as they age and renovations or repairs are needed, they could deteriorate and present a health risk. The project is expected to cost approximately $200,000.
